FRA and the end of the world as we know it
I have (almost) never posted a blog in a foreign language but apparently this is the time for it.
I just watched the documentary about the FRA-Law that is about to be passed in our precious country, and during my time spent glaring at the screen sucking in all the info being re-feeded to me through means of images corroborated by a very well chosen narrating voice, I stumbled upon some sort of epiphany.
Personally I have always despised the way our government somehow seem to always heed the USA’s choice of global politics, regardless of their constitution. The most up-to-date example being the USA being thrown into a never ending spin of terrorism-fear thanks to some fucking fuckers blowing up the WTC. For some inconspicious (or maybe not that much) reason I have thought that regardless of the populistic and scandalhungry medias tabloids here in Sweden and all over the world, there was always some faint hope of recovery to more sensible discussions where we all might find common ground and actually talk sense for a change instead of just discuss what sort of weapons (physical and/or mental/technical) might be the best to combat this newly developed nuiscance.
What nuiscance you say?
Well, in our country the “nuiscance” is commonly known as “the people”. We have been trying to exercise our civil right (peaceful demonstrations) to combat this coming violation against our rights for years, one of the more internationally known methods of protesting (public gatherings, speeches, and blogging) is what we’ve been focusing on. This might be considered foolish, especially looking at the recent massive riots in France and a BEEPload of other more antidemocratic ways of expressing disagreement in a civil society.
However this is how we do it, and I am proud to be part of the movement to ban the FRA-Law in its current form. I am so tired of following in this tiresome terrorismdebacle thanks to the 9/11 crap. Yes, a lot of people died, YES, there are a lot of fucking idiots in the world bent on killing other people to make a point, YES, there MAY be CHANCE to avoid such attacks IF we just GIVE UP ALL OUR CIVIL RIGHTS.
I’m sorry, this does not compute in my world and it never will. To make it simple for you I will hereby make a personal statement that I swear to abide with forever and ever.
I do not care if my family, my still unborn kids, my sisters and brothers and mother and father, cousins, collegaues and other in any way relevant people in my life get blown up in terrorist attacks. I will not give up my liberty to speak with other people without getting overheard by someone or processed by an algorithm. This is my choice. If anyone I know takes offense that I rather see them dead than give up this liberty, feel free to call me, mail me, or anything, with your opinion in the matter.
This is bigger than me, you, or anyone else, and everyone should be aware of it.
This is my attempt to make this more international than it already is, and for god sakes – the rest of the world (that means YOU) – get a grip and make this shit stop.

Drf in English. This surely was a surprise.
You have to remember that the FRA-law is something that affects the whole world, not only us swedes. Hopefully someone picks this up and starts protesting abroad (or atleast opens up the eyes of someone important). Make Sweden their laughingstock, this country deserves for now.
